The head of the Chengdu office of the Economic Cooperation Bureau of seven provinces and twelve municipal governments recently conducted a visit to China Western Power Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., a CWPC wholly-owned subsidiary.
The visiting leaders were given a thorough introduction to the company’s development history, core business, industry status, corporate mission, new technology in the areas of new energy, environmental protection, and performance, as well as the company’s medium and long-term plans by Ms. Peng Mei, deputy General Manager of the domestic business development in the company’s exhibition hall. She also emphasized the company’s expertise in equipment, project construction, and operation, as well as in the treatment of urban solid waste, energy storage, and solar projects.
At the subsequent government-enterprise symposium, they conducted discussion on how to achieve government-enterprise cooperation and coordinated regional development. The various economic cooperation bureaus with office in Chengdu are situated in a number of major national strategic development areas with numerous development opportunities, including the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin Cities Economic Circle, the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, the coordinated development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and the rise of central China. Each responsible person introduced the basic situation, development status, resource endowment, key industries and business environment of each district and city. It’s agreed that each district and city has its own unique advantages in terms of the natural environment, industrial development, resource endowment, and business-friendly policies as a result of their diverse geographic locations, which will undoubtedly give businesses more options and space. They also made a discussion on achieving cooperation and coordinated regional development and reached a consensus.
The leaders of the bureaus for economic cooperation with offices in Chengdu cordially invite China Western Power to launch new projects in these regions. They also said they would arrange for government officials from their cities and states to visit China Western Power for further research. These provinces, cities, and states are intended to promote the implementation of photovoltaic, solar thermal, wind, hydrogen energy, energy storage, solid waste treatment, manufacturing equipment, and other technologies.
Participants including officials in charge of the economic cooperation bureaus of the municipal governments of seven provinces and twelve cities, including Yibin, Mianyang, Meishan, Leshan, Nanchong, Hubei, Hebei, Luoyang, Yunnan, Guizhou, and Shaanxi, attended the discussion.
