On the local date of December 13th, the Presidential Office and the Ministry of Energy of Uzbekistan hosted the inauguration ceremony for new production capacities and construction projects in the energy sector of Uzbekistan. The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, graced the event with his presence.
At the main venue of the inauguration ceremony for new production capacities and construction projects in the energy sector of Uzbekistan, held in Tashkent, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev pressed the start button. The 500MW photovoltaic power generation project in Besharik District, Fergana Region, constructed by CWPC under an EPC contract, was officially launched as part of Uzbekistan's new energy production capacities and construction projects. Chairman Li Renchao represented the company at the inauguration ceremony for the new energy production capacities and construction projects in Uzbekistan's energy sector.
At the ceremony, President Mirziyoyev emphasized in his speech that Uzbekistan has made significant progress in the field of "green energy", with a rapid promotion in environmental energy production capacity by 2024 and a planned economic scale of 200 billion US dollars by 2030. In the next five years, electricity demand will increase by 1.5 times to 120 billion kilowatt hours, and over the next two years, more than 2000 small and micro power plant plans will be implemented in collaboration with private entrepreneurs. At the same time, he assures everyone that the new Uzbekistan is a country that provides comprehensive guarantees for investment, fully supports your projects and initiatives, protects the interests of foreign partners, and opens up to the world.
The EPC project contracting of CWPC is led by German company Hyper Partners Group, with a total investment of about 350 million US dollars. It is planned to be put into commercial operation by the end of 2025, and the construction period is expected to create over 800 job opportunities. After completion, it will provide Uzbekistan with 1 billion kilowatt-hours of stable green electricity annually, reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 830,000 tons, promote the low-carbon transformation of the local energy sector, and drive economic and social development. It will also effectively alleviate the local power shortage, improve the local power supply structure, and make significant contributions to Uzbekistan’s green development and energy independence.

She expressed: Under the high attention and support of President Mirziyoyev, the participating units of the project listened to the President's instructions at the sub-venue, and all units were filled with enthusiasm and increased motivation. As the EPC contractor for this project, CWPC will coordinate progress, quality, and safety, provide first-class technology, products, and services, and create a premium and exemplary project for the company in the international market, contributing to the high-quality co-construction of the "Belt and Road" and the realization of the "New Uzbekistan" planning goals. Upon completion, the project will provide ample green and clean electricity to the local area, which is of great significance for promoting socio-economic development. It is an important achievement of the China-Uzbekistan co-construction of the "Belt and Road" and an important manifestation of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Uzbekistan.
